birding-aus references to extinct birds in early explorers' accounts?

I'm wondering whether there are, or are yet to be found, in the accounts of
early European explorers of Australia, mentions of species of birds, which
are in fact references to species now extinct. Obviously there are the three
southern Emu spp, but are there any more?
