     Victoria,

I would sugest that you look at the current and past state of the
vegetation understorey and any possible predators in the area eg cats
     foxes etc.

My father has noticed the absence of usually-present superb blue wrens at
his property in Red Hill, Mornington Peninsula, Victoria during the past
fortnight.

Has anybody any suggestions as to the cause of this?
