February 8, a morning of gale force winds from the east and of
driving rain. A phone call from a local resident of long standing
reporting some fifty Figate Birds over Point Lookout, the greatest
number he had ever seen.
Half an hour later he was able to show me a fligh of 18 birds in a
window of arain squall.
Saturday Feb.13, about 5P.M.,in sunshine and moderate winds, two
Frigate Birds at distance off Cylinder Head, Point Lookout, with their
white patches occasionally visible .
It is understood that our common Frigate Bird is the Lesser (Frigata
ariel).
