A friend of mine who lives in the upland rainforest at Kuranda, Far North
Queensland, asked me today if I could identify a bird she hears but never
sees. Her husband drives a tourist bus and when he reverses the bus it emits
a rhythmic Beep-Beep-Beep sound - which the bird imitates perfectly. Any
ideas what the bird might be??

I live down on the coast in a pleasantly untidy and bird - friendly suburb;
last spring I'm pretty sure I heard a perfect imitation of the "Microsoft
music" which the computer plays when first switched on, but I was indoors at
the time and saw no bird, and have never heard it again. Probably Bill Gates
threatened to sue??
