Subject : Publications on parrot conservation projects which are
                considered sustainable

I am looking for papers or experiences on parrot
conservation projects which are considered sustainable in
that they respond to conservation needs whilst successfully
addressing other issues such as development, local
involvement, education, funding, etc. on a long term basis.

The only example I know of is Paul Butlers work in St.
Lucia, but there must be others.

If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated.

To all those who have responded so promptly to my summons
for help in relation to the macaw trafficking situation in
Bolivia, I wish to thank you sincerely and also inform you
that steps are now in progress towards using this
opportunity to clamp down on Bolivia's lack of enforcement
and control of macaw and general wildlife trafficking. Its
too early for me to expand as yet, but things are moving!

Best wishes,

Alan Hesse
Asociacion Armonia
