Hi,

Just back from a four-day trip out to Deniliquin (Plains-wanderers!),
Kerang and Echuca etc, and we saw only a single Black-shouldered Kite for
the whole trip - despite the 16 members of the tour being constantly on the
lookout.

So maybe the shortage at the moment, at least in SE Australia, is real.
