Summary,
A very quiet November trip, with bird numbers generally well down on
previous November trips from Wollongong. In spite of the low number
of species the Wandering Albatross (the last few for the season) were
a highlight for everyone on board as was the rarity of the day a very
obliging White-chinned Petrel. Sooty Shearwater numbers were thought
to be high and yet Short-tailed numbers were lower than one would
expect. We had higher hopes after Rod's sighting of a Southern Fulmar
earlier in the week from Maroubra, in Sydney but alas we will have to
wait for another day.
