Me again! I"ve seen Striated Pardalotes nesting in a similar spot, inside a horizontal, metal, arm on an electricity supply pole. Diameter would have been about the same and the internal temperature must have been at least in the 40's in the afternoons. I don't know if the eggs/young survived. Regards, Anne -- Anne & Roger A.
