The Western Treatment Plant (Werribee) produced a Cape Barren Goose and a sub-adult White-breasted Sea-Eagle today (Sunday 15 Nov). And while on the subject of Cape Barren Geese, is anyone able to advise me regarding the status of both banded and un-banded (? immature) Geese in the near vicinity of Serendip Sanctuary? Three birds, one with bands, were in a paddock adjacent to the Sanctuary today. Are these captive (pinioned), captive-reared, free-flying, wild.....or what?
