Hi Hugo
I refer to the article in the October 1998 issue of GALAH, about Nature
Nest, a new nestbox research and monitoring project. I have friends who
would like to know if there is available a nest box for Barn Owls. Barn
owls sometimes occur around their famhouse and they would like them to
stay all year around but at present don't believe that there is a
suitable place for them to roost and nest. My friends would like to know
if there is a special site that a nest box should be placed and
anything else that they should know about providing the best roosting
and or nesting site for Barn Owls. I have put this on Birding-aus, in
the hope that other people might have had some experience in
successfully providing a home for a Barn Owl, and could therefore
provide some suggestions for my friends..
