I have just got an email address for the Minister, Department of
Environment in Brisbane. It is

The original fax number given - (07) 3210 6214 - was confirmed as
correct by the minister's office.
Thousands of international people have visited Kingfisher Park next door
over the years. I would like to post something on the American and
English equivalent of birding-aus asking for their support. It would be
a strong point in getting the message to the Minister of the area's
international importance for birding.
(Afurther point is that lopping of these trees will reduce the trees'
potential to produce further hollows as years go by. You can bet that
these guys will be targeting anything that looks as though it could be
hollow or becoming hollow).
