Hi Jenny, Annie, Roger & all,

Thanks for the info. I had the Magpie nest pointed out to me by a pair of
attacking T. Crows who were seen off by one Magpie with ghusto. It is high up
in a very tall Eucalyptus tereticornis. A short time later a L. Kookaburra 'had
a go'. Both Magpies were seen together ( a few meters apart) a short time later
in fairly dense understory plants with bills slightly agape. Last Sunday was
fairly warm here. Only the female continues to forrage in our yard and she has
also been seen picking up soft nesting material and a thin stick. I wonder if
they lost to the marauders and have started again.

Ros Laundon.
