Hello

For thos bird folk interested in Aboriginal bird names, the following 
publication has just been published by the Australian Institute of 
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies, GPO Box 553, Canberra, 
ACT 2601.

Ngiyampaa wordworld 1, Thipingku yuwi, maka ngiya, names of bords and 
other words, compiled by Tamsin Donaldson.

In the Ngiyampaa language a zebra finch is muulyii, emu is ngurruy, 
emu chick wungka, wood duck, kunaaru, etc etc etc.
