The winter 1998 issue of Australian Birding Magazine will be posted to
subscribers tomorrow.

It has terrific colour photographs by Niels Poul Dreyer illustrating his
article on seeing Subantarctic seabirds, and trip reports from Georgetown
Qld and Bhutan. Other items include 2 PNG articles (Elevala and Kumul
Lodge, Enga), the Black-backed Wagtail at Newcastle, Newell's Shearwater,
birding news, book reviews, and a new feature Virtual Birding by Tom Tarrant.

Andrew Isles Natural History Books is handling the subs (113-115 Greville
Street, Prahran 3181; $30 within Australia, US$30 or 15 pounds Stg overseas
posted airmail; 

We welcome birding articles and especially Australian copy; contact me with
your ideas!
