For those who would like to get their hands dirty in the name of saving our
endangered woodland critters, following are details of the next tree
planting weekends ar Lurg (2 and a half hours from Melbourne).

Dates: 8/9 and 22/23 August 1998
Meeting place: Benalla Post Office at 9AM or Winton Roadhouse at
9.30AM
Accommodation: Free accommodation at Benalla airfield on Saturday night
Hot showers, kitchen facilities and mattresses provided
               BYO sleeping bag and pillow
Meals: BYO lunch for Saturday
Casseroles and pizzas for dinner on Saturday night
BYO breakfast for Sunday morning. Eating gear supplied at
airfield mess hall
Activities: Guided wildflower walk in the bush Sunday PM
Fun together: Wool shed dance on Saturday night

Contact: Ray Thomas (03) 57612 612 work or (03) 57224 649

Ray needs to know numbers for catering reasons and to ensure that
sufficient tools and trees are delivered to the planting sites. If you are
going for only one day Ray would prefer Saturday.

Note: I am looking for someone to do some Regent Honeyeater/Swift Parrot
surveys around Lurg on the weekend of 8/9 August. Any takers?

Regent Honeyeater Recovery Coordinator
