I have been following the thread of bird diversity, weeds and land
with interest. I visit the Desert Uplands bioregion of Central Queensland
on a regular basis and one of the concerns raised by pastoralists is the
spread of parthenium and other declared weeds from property to property.

If birding-aussers are intending atlasing in inland Central-Southern
and Northern NSW could they please heed any signs that they are in a
parthenium infested area and not inadvertently spread the seeds with their
vehicles, clothing and footwear.
