Dear all

I also have seen Pied Oystercathers feeding on grassy areas in Tasmania.
However, a greater surprise to me was seeing Bar-tailed Godwits probing
into compost on a garden bed on Cairns Esplanade. They were feeding
here despite the tide being only partially full and some mud-flat was
exposed. Again on a recent visit, I saw them feeding on flooded lawn.

Regards, Andrew Geering.
