Highlights from twice-weekly Canberra Ornithologists' Group (COG) hotline,
for week ending 12 June (some reports are of earlier obs).

Not much to report this time!

FUSCOUS & YELLOW-FACED HONEYEATERS still being reported; many obviously
staying on, after the mild late autumn.

GLOSSY BLACK-COCKATOOS 11/6 4 reported on suburban Mt Majura [where they
appear every few years]

PEREGRINE young, carrying still-alive magpie-lark. Harassed by magpies,
dropped the bird, which escaped into shrubbery. Despite several low circles,
the falcon failed to retrieve it, and eventually left.
