Is anyone seeing (and reporting) Swift Parrots outside the much
advertised areas? On the weekend I found a few at Reedy Lake (Lat: 36
43 6 S Long: 145 7 12 E) near Nagambie in Victoria, near where I found
some at the same time of year in 1991. There were very few lorikeets in
the Rushworth/Whroo forest in the areas I went through, despite quite a
bit of flowering Yellow Gum (E. leucoxylon) and Red Ironbark (E.
tricarpa), but lots of lorikeets in farmland/roadside flowering Yellow
Gums adjacent to the forest.

Below is my BirdInfo database printout for that location (hard copy
mailed to Simon Kennedy, the Swift Parrot project coordinator).
