Hi bird folks,

I have been studying the identification of frigatebirds lately, and hope to
publish a paper on the identification, ageing and sexing of Great and
Lesser when I answer a few minor questions (and negotiate somewhere to
publish). I recognise 7 plumages for each species (four age classes with
two sexes in all but the first (juveniles)). I have photos of all of these
but would like to see more photos, both for the purposes of my research and
for illustrating the article.

I would like (read "love") to hear from anyone who has photos of
frigatebirds of any species from anywhere in the world, and who would be
interested in loaning them to me or, alternatively, allowing me to study
them if I were to visit you. If you can help me, please could you forward
details of the number of slides of each species that you could loan/show me.

DO NOT SEND ANY SLIDES NOW

(sorry to sound like a demtel sideshow!) Just let me know if you can help
and we can discuss arrangements.

I would also like to hear from anyone who could provide comment on a
manuscript dealing with frigatebird identification.

Please reply direct to me, not to Birding-Aus.

Thanks in anticipation,

David James
