G'day All,
Yesterday whilst unashamedly plugging our new website Raptors of
Southern Queensland on (sorry!) I
received a request for information on Cassowary sites from some UK
birders. Here is the text:
I hope you don't think this is cheeky but I and 4 friends are
visiting Oz (inc Queensland) in November and I wondered whether you
would be able to advise us which is the best spot to see cassowary at
the moment. Thus far I have been told that Mission Point is good and
have also been told that there is (was?) a relatively tame individual
at Lake Barrine. Any advice you could give would be gratefully received.

If anyone has any info can they email Paul Harvey directly (not me) on

Thanks for all your help and nice messages on our websites,
Tom and Marie
