I have heard from a usually reliable source that a letterwing kite was seen
34km south of Boggabri (10km south of Willala) near Willala Mt. in NSW.
It was about 10am and the bird was high up with its underwing pattern
showing clearly so I'm told. It was flying purposefully from east to west
heading towards Pilliga Scrub.
This was about a month ago.
