Hi Everyone,

It seems as if I've stirred up a hornet's nest among the plumage people. I
will respond to their latest comments, but it will probably not be until
next weekend because of heavy work commitments this week.

There are certainly some points in the latest round of discussion that I
challenge, just as some of my points have been challenged. This is what I
like about Birding-Aus ... the ability to have frank and open debates about
birds, and at the end of the day we are all still friends!

Best wishes,

Dr Stephen Ambrose
