Hi everybody -

Information received from Doug Robinson, head of the GCB recovery effort:

Volunteers are needed for planting weekends in the "Join the Dots" program
in northern Victoria. The intention is to revegetate treeless gaps to
reconnect isolated groups of Grey-crowned Babblers (the dots), a species
which is in severe decline in the southern part of its range.
Self-sufficient volunteers are desired, but it may be possible to find some
shearing shed accommodation as well.

The weekends are:

July 18-19 - Euroa and Violet Town district.
July 25-26 - Rutherglen and Peechelba.
August 1-2 - Euroa and Violet Town district.
August 8-9 - Rutherglen and Peechelba.

Any interested folk should contact Mick Fendley (Threatened Bird Network) at
the address and numbers below, or at <>

Cheers, Hugo.
