Here's the trip report for the most recent pelagic birding trip that sailed
from Portland on Sunday 5 April.

Those on board: Mike Carter, Rohan Clarke, Peter Crabtree, Chris Lester, Rob
Drummond, Peter Barrand, Colin Rogers, Dick NOrton, Judith Hoyle, Gavin
O'Mera, Kevin Colewell and June Colewell.

Sailed 0643 returned 1545-Slight sea on moderate swell-wind SW at 10 to 12
knots.

Little Penguin 7
Wandering Albatross 4
Black-browed Albatross 500 (400)
Bullers Albatross 2 (1)
Yellow-nosed Albatross 110 (50)
Shy Albatross 180 (150) including 4 Salvini
Great-winged Petrel 70 (50)
Whit-chinne Petrel 1
Flesh-footed Shearwater 90 (50)
Sooty Shearwater 2 (1)
Short-tailed Shearweater 40 (20)
Fluttering Shearwater 16 (12)
Wilson's Storm-petrel 20 (6)
White-faced Storm-petrel 2 (1)
Australian Gannet 8000 on Lawrence rocks 300 inshore 6 pelagic
Arctic Jaeger 8
Silver Gull 24
Crested Tern 17
Pacific Gull 1
Black-faced Cormorant 30

Mammals Observed
Bottle-nosed Dolphins 500 feeding in inshore waters (incredible sight!)
Australian Fur-seal 50 in inshore waters
