Just wanted to put my 2 bobs worth in. I came new into this list a few
months ago, and it was only someone picking up on a couple of passing
comments that I'd made in a post that pointed me to the fact that a Grey
Falcon sighting was pretty interesting to some, and that an Eastern Whipbird
in Tasmania would be *very* interesting to others.

These exchanges have made me more careful in my later observations and have
improved my field note taking, as well as piquing an already high interest
in birdwatching, making me more determined to get out of the house and into
the bush more frequently. Hell, I went on my first twitch (unsuccessful),
and found out about a wonderful park in Melbourne that I would never have
got to otherwise.
