Red-tailed Tropicbird sighting.

A Red-tailed Tropicbird was observed on the north west end of Old Reef 
SSE of Townsville  19 20 04 s  148 01 07 e, on 11/02/1998. 
  
The bird was observed swimming and flying for short distances for a period
of about ten minutes.

The observation was from abourd 'MV Sirenia' by Patrick Centurino Marine
Parks Ranger on a Routine patrol in the area.

Red-tailed Tropic birds have not been previously recorded by Patrick on
this or any other routine patrol, in this section of the Marine Park.
