The recent Toowoomba casualty is still alive. It has a broken ulna and
is low in weight. Local vet, Bob Doneley, has been helping Clare out.
Other concerned parties have been in phone contact with Clare Gover and
she is very appreciative of the support received. This facility was
marvellous for promptly getting onto the right people. Thanks to those
who responded to my email.

While yet to be confirmed, it appears to be the Caledonian race, based
on the white inner web of the outer tail feathers. Until yesterday, I
was unaware that the race even existed. How often do they turn up? I
would be grateful for details of other records from Australia, to put
this event in perspective.
