Today's gloomy weather saw another RAOU bird walk at Herdsman's Lake, In
Perth, WA. It proved to be a highly successful day, with over 50 birds
being sighted. Of note, however were the following:

little egret - uncommon to rare in Perth
adult Nankeen Night Heron
Pectoral Sandpiper - As far as I am aware, a very rare wader in Perth
Glossy Ibis - quite uncommon in Perth
Many wood sandpipers
Black-fronted Dotterels
Red Kneed Dotterel
Red-capped Plover
Whistling Kite
Swamp (Marsh) Harrier

A plethora of ducks and other waterbirds were seen.

Cheers,

Rob.
