For any interested WA listeners, here is some information from a trip today
(6/1/97) to Alfred Cove (Swan River).

The day was very hot (nearly 35 by 9 AM) with a light breeze. Tide was
quite low. Species sighted on the mudflats included:

Red-necked Stint
Caspian Tern
Silver Gull
Red-capped Plover
Australian White Ibis
Pacific Black Duck
Grey Teal
Great Egret
Curlew Sandpiper
Black-winged Stilt
Banded Stilt
10 Pied Oystercatchers (interestingly still present on the river)
numerous unidentifiable plovers adn waders beyond the range of my 10x50's!

Happy Birding.

Rob.
