Alex,

As someone who enjoys birding in the Pilliga SF I rang the Baradine office
of State Forests today to find out about the extent of the fire. They tell
me the south-west part was pretty-well untouched (Aloes Picnic Area, Salt
Caves etc) - and that the main fire was in the area bounded by Sparrow Road,
Burma Road, County Line and Newell Highway (to the east of the highway).

Regards, Richard
