emus on the loose in New Jersey

While babysitting the 'Emu tours' phones here in beautiful Jamberoo, I have
just received a call from Chris Tisdale, who is an animal control officer in
New Jersey (USA). His problem today was an emu which had escaped from an emu
farm and had to be recaught. The bird died in the attempt.
Understandably, Chris is distressed by this outcome and is seeking advice so
that it doesn't happen again.
I have given him the numbers for Taronga Park and Western Plains Zoos,
suggesting the bird handlers there should have some ideas.
If anyone can help Chris (and the emus) please email him at
