The Asian Dowitcher was still present on the Cairns water front on the
morning of October 31st together with three Broad-billed Sandpipers. All
birds provided superb bins and scope views as they came to roost amongst a
flock of both Black-tailed and Bar-tailed godwits.

Two sub-adult Letter-winged Kites roosting in one of just two trees
alongside a railway cutting in Godfrey Road, near Kairi, Atherton area put
on a great show. Last observed 4th Nov. Thanks to Glen Holmes for the
excellent directions for getting us on to this superb species.

Regards
