Cyclones are pretty good at dumping birds where they shouldn't ought to
be!  What about the Blue-and-white and Narcissus Flycatchers that showed
up (dead and alive respectively) in Western Australia last year?  Surely
they were just blown there, though maybe the Narcissus hitch-hiked.
Ships probably do the best job of all when it comes to shifting critters
around the globe (birds, bats, rats, marine invertebrates & plants,
etc.....).  

Any word yet on which geographical race of Blue Rock Thrush the Noosa
bird belongs to (and therefore how likely it is to have arrived under
its own steam), or even which gender??
