Aus-Birders,
I have greatly enjoyed and learned a lot from being a Virtual Australian
Birder during the past 4 months. I leave the U.S.A. on Nov. 11th to begin a
4 month journey through Australia. I hope to meet and bird with some of you
as I travel about.
As of now I will be in Sydney Nov. 12 - 24. I'm planning to be on the
Nov
22nd pelagic trip out of Wollongong. From there I head to Darwin so I can
see some of that area before the WET gets too wet. After that, probably
Perth. I have also signed up for the week-long birding trip on Cape York in
January. If you spot a curly reddish-haired birder poring perplexedly over
her field guide, please feel free to offer conversation, advice on good
locales and help with those tricky i.d.'s. Also, if anyone enjoys sharing
your local area spots with visitors, you could e-mail me at
"" with info as to how to get in touch should I be
in your region.
The combination of e-mail, Web Pages and Birding-Aus have made planning
the
trip an
exciting and amazing process. Best wishes and Good Birding to you all.

        Sincerely,
        Diana Churchill
