Dear Paul,

I know of one experiment by Darryl Jones, Griffith Uni, Brisbane where a
male magpie that was removed approximately 20 km from his home territory
after attacking children, and he was back in a few hours!! Not sure of
any other reports, but I know this is an area that Darryl is
investigating. I have heard that sometimes other local males, perhpas
those without territories can move in on one that becomes vacant - not
sure though as its not my area of expertise. Good luck with Mr Vicious.

Regards,

Cecily Maller
