Greetings birders. Over the last year or so, I have observed laughing turtle doves in many areas of country WA, often surprisingly far from Perth. These include Denham at Shark Bay and as far north-east as Beacon near the emu proof fence. Does anybody out there know of the exact range of these birds in WA and any details of their original introduction. Also, are they common in other states as well? Regards, Rob. ****************************************** Robert Davis Honours Student School of Biological and Environmental Sciences Murdoch University Perth WA E-mail : PH: (09) 354 1719 ****************************************** |
