I am thinking of making a 3-week trip to Alaska next year but am restricted to the month of August. Having heard that there can be a serious problem with flies at that time of year, I would like to know just how bad it is likely to be e.g. are they likely to ruin the whole thing; are head-nets necessary all of the time; are they limited to certain regions etc. If anyone has been there at that time I would appreciate their opinions before I proceed any further with planning. Thanks, Steve Edwards |
