G'day all Just now, looking out my office window over lawn, magpie swoops down to ground, bowls over a grey blob, flies away a bit, pecks furiously at blob, mates watch with interest. My curiosity aroused I investigate and find the blob is a dead Stubble Quail. I've never seen such behaviour in magpies before. I'm not positive the magpie killed the quail but it looked that way.
