Dear Mr Osborn and Birding-aus

I must admit I am very disappointed with the response to my discussion about
the greenhouse effect and the marine environment. I have almost come to the
conclusion from following the debate in the newspapers, on birdnet and from
the major political parties position on the issue, that the Australian
society as whole do not want to deal with this issue at all. Labour supports
Howards position. It is of course against sustaniable development and the
precautionary principle. If we do not know, we take action. Buy an insurance
against environmental damage. For me concerned, it is waste of time to
support bird conservation projects, if we do not get this issue right. It is
amazing that the coal industry has been so effective in persuading the so
called environmentalist to take a sleep. If that is the position, please
never again critisise other nations, such as Brazil, France or China for
global environmental damage. Otherwise they can rightfully say that you are
damm hypocrites!
