Hi -
I am passing on a request from the HANZAB team:

If anybody out there has an original copy (not a photocopy) of the first
issue of a magazine or journal named AUSTRALIAN BIRDLIFE, published in
1973, please let us know about it and whether you would be prepared to lend
it to us. The magazine apparently only came out a couple of times before it
folded. No.1 contains an illustrated article 'Australian Nightjars - a
special study of the White-throated Nightjar' by Harry Frauca, with some
photographs of nightjar chicks and juveniles that would be very useful for
Jeff Davies, the HANZAB Artist, for information for his coloured plates.

Also - if anybody has similar photographs (nightjar chicks and juvenile
birds), we would be very interested in seeing them. Please direct all
replies to Camilla Myers, HANZAB Assistant Editor, at <>

Thanks, Hugo.
