As part of the Tasmania Comprehensive Regional Assessment
(http://http://www.environment.gov.au/land/forests/rfa.html), the Australasian
Raptor Association was
commissioned to conduct a study of owls in Tasmania and the effects of logging
on their habitat. Their report is now available on line.

Perhaps not as cuddly or cute (okay, owls aren't really 'cuddly'), there is also
a recent report on lichens.
