I recently had the lovely experience of rehabilitating a barn owl that had become dreradfully tangled in "love grass' burrs. Cleaning took 2 hours of painstaking work then, on the advice of D.E.N.R. expert Ian Falconberg (lovely name, eh?), I fed it up for 10 days before release. Did you know they happily consume 6 mice per day! There is considerable concern about poisoning them during attempts to control mouse plagues.
