Birdline recently had:  DOUBLE-BANDED PLOVER       5 Penrhyn Rd., Botany Bay 
8/3 - first of the winter.

As I was contemplating how lovely it was this morning, I certainly didn't have 
winter in mind!  Indeed, as at last Sunday, I still had a Common Koel around, 
in Concord West (Sydney suburb).
