SYDNEY, NSW PELAGIC TRIP REPORT 8th March 1997

Trip Summary:
Another memorable pelagic with perfect calm conditions and a plentiful
supply of great birds. The water temperature was exceptionally high at 26.1
degrees C. beyond the shelf, perhaps an influence of the tropical cyclone
'Justin' located in the Coral Sea? No doubt also influencing the birds
seen on this trip. Congratulations to Cilla Rose who reached the magical
600 on this trip. Cetaceans were also a highlight with excellent views of
Short-finned Pilot Whale and Striped Dolphin.
