This weekend we went to the Tallanganda State Forest near Captains Flat NSW
and found two pairs of pink robins in the same spot as a male bird was seen
earlier this year which perhaps suggests they are resident.

Also seen were Olive Whistlers, Crescent Honeyeaters, and Flame Robins. 34
species were seen in the area.

Then to test "The complete guide to finding the Birds of Australia" by
Richard Thomas and Sarah Thomas so off to the Tidbinbilla Reserve to see the
"guaranteed" Satin Flycatcher. Dipped! Three pairs of Leaden Flycatchers
from the entrance to the rear of the koala enclosure but no Satin.

So off to the Canberra Botanic Gardens to see the "dead cert" Gang Gang
Cockatoos and true to their word, there was a pair waiting to greet us.
