Those on board: 
Tony Palliser(Leader), Pete Milburn, Ian Woxvold, Ron Cross, Mike  
Matherson, Richard Yank, Bill Maclean, Graham Barwell, Bill Kromwyk,  
Moinca Silva (Thanks to all, for their support). 
Once again an exceptional trip reaching a distance of 26 NM East of  
Wollongong.  A large selection of species with excellent opportunities  
to photograph rarities in particular Antarctic/Salvins Prion and Royal  
Albatross.   Also of special note was the early return of Short-tailed  
Shearwaters and even a single flesh-footed Shearwater and Arctic Skua.   
As usual the Providence and Great winged Petrels were showing well. Also  
seen distantly were 5 Sooty Terns and a White-chinned Petrel. Cetaceans  
were also of value with a pod of up to 60 common dolphin and a  
Hump-backed Whale.  
Water temperature 17.5C once beyond the shelf. 
Departed at 7.00 am and returned at 5.30 pm.  
1 Metre swell.  
15 knot winds from the South a.m to Westerly late p.m. 
Reached 26 Nautical Miles E of Wollongong 
Wandering Albatross (12-13) 3 adult, 9+ juv, mostly stage 3-4 
Royal Albatross (1) Adult sanfordi 
Shy Albatross (10-20) 5 adults 10+ immature  
Black-browed Albatross (14+) 6+Adult race melanophrys and  8+ juv 
Yellow-nosed Albatross (2) 1 Juv, 1 adult 
Southern Giant Petrel (1) Juvenile 
Providence Petrel (20-30+) 
Great-winged Petrel (80-100) 
White-chinned Petrel (1) 
Cape Petrel (6+) 
Fairy Prion (1) 
Antarctic Prion (3) (Note: P salvini has not been ruled out) 
Fluttering Shearwater (15+) 
Hutton's Shearwater (10+) 
Wedge-tailed Shearwater (50+) 
Flesh-footed Shearwater (1) 
Short-tailed Shearwater (250+) 
White-faced Storm Petrel (2) 
Australasian Gannet (6) 
Silver Gull (500+) 
Crested Tern (15+) 
Sooty Tern (5)(Adult? although views were poor) 
White-fronted Tern (10+) 
Arctic Jaeger (1) 
Australasian Pelican (3) 
Hump-backed Whale (1) 
Common Dolphin (50+)
