Hi all, Yesterday morning I was at North Mole which is at Fremantle Port, Western Australia and saw Wilson's Storm-Petrels very close to shore, coming as near as 30 m from the groyne. Max. numbers together was 3 birds. North Mole is a popular fishing spot and they might have been attracted by the 'stuff' the anglers could have thrown into the water. I have never seen any storm-petrels so close to land. There were also Southern Skuas about and one individual that came very close was seen to be moulting its primaries from the outer ones going inwards.
