Bill,
I've had a bit of a look at "Australian Birds - The Multimedia 
Experience" put out by Webster publishing, and I would echo Sean's 
comments. The photos & video  footage make Simpson & Day on CD-ROM 
look rather Mickey Mouse. We have ordered the Birds, Mammals and 
Reptiles & Frogs for our students to play with as a break during 
biology pracs - they might even learn something!
(Incidentally Harvey Norman is a thriving enterprise in NSW - 
constant TV & radio ads let you know the best time to buy 
software).
