26th November 1995 WOLLONGONG PELAGIC TRIP REPORT  
  
Departed at 7.00 am and returned at 4.30 pm.   
a calm morning with 10-15 knot northerly winds late afternoon.  
Conditions overcast and fairly warm.  
We reached 22 Nautical Miles E of Wollongong.  
Water temperature 17.5 C  
  
Those on board:  
Pete Milburn, Tony Palliser, John Reidy, Alex Watson, Chris Brandis,   
Paul MacDonald, Graham Palmer, Ron Dowling, Wayne Gilliatt, John  
Lamplough, Graham Barwell, Alan Benson, Richard Jordon and Party of 10 
from Barren Grounds.

Little Penguin 2+  
Wandering Albatross 1  
Black-browed Albatross 2 Juvenile 
Shy Albatross 2  
Great-winged Petrel 50-60+  
Providence Petrel 6+  
White-faced Storm-Petrel 3  
Wilson's Storm-Petrel 5+ One bird only 2NM off Wollongong 
         (perhaps the same individual as last month?)  
Wedge-tailed Shearwater 200-300  
Fluttering Shearwater 20+  
Hutton's Shearwater 6+  
Flesh-footed Shearwater 30-40  
Short-tailed Shearwater 1000+  
Sooty Shearwater 2+  
Buller's Shearwater 2-3  
Australasian Gannet 10+  
Silver Gull 50+  
Kelp Gull 5 
Southern Skua 1 (Perhaps of the race? Antarctica)  
Pomarine Skua 20-25 
Long-tailed Skua 4  
Arctic Skua 10-15  
Crested Tern 10-20  
 
Pelagics go out on the 4th (and not the last) Sunday of the month   
from Wollongong or the 2nd Saturday every 2nd Month from Sydney. If you  
would like to join the action  on one of these trips in the future please  
contact Phil Hansbro or Tony Palliser on one the numbers listed below.   
The next one is planned for the 9th December from Sydney.
